Xylem Hydrovar X Installation – Gloucester

Here we have a nice 3-pump Xylem Hydrovar X CWB Set installation in Gloucester.

Whilst carrying out a PPM visit at this large site in May we found No.1 pump off and U/S, No.3 pump extremely noisy and not delivering, with only No.2 pump fully operational. This coupled with the fact the unit is ageing and controls obsolete meant we recommended a new Booster Set.

Site agreed with this summation and quickly authorised the works. Our Engineers Antony Chesters and Kieran Shields then attended in June to complete the replacement. This was a very nice installation which required the new booster set chassis to be cut down slightly and control panel mounted on the wall to fit in the limited space on site. This worked well and along with new isolation valves and expansion bellows they had the new set installed well within the interruption to water window.

The new Xylem set is one of the most energy efficient on the market and much more efficient than the previous set so will provide long term energy savings.
