York Research Facility

We recently completed one of PressBoost’s largest ever projects at a research facility in York. We were called in by the client to supply and install some specified @Reflex equipment in one of their Energy Centres.

The existing units date back to 1994! However, they had been causing site problems for a number of years and was consuming a lot of their resource trying to nurse it through. Site decided as the units approached 30-years old, it was time for an upgrade!

PressBoost attended site and supplied and install the new Reflexomat RS 400/2 units along with 2no. 1500 litre vessels. The units are installed in a Master/Slave setup. We have also installed a new control panel, new CAT5 cold water booster set and tank and system isolation valves to provide a full system overhaul for site.

This was a logistically difficult job and an enormous system with 12 Megawatt of heat input. It was critical to site that down time was kept to a minimum, therefore, we installed a temporary pressurisation unit to maintain heat to site for the duration of the works. All completed in 5-days, a fantastic looking job which we are immensely proud of.

This is a new site to us, and we have now been instructed to complete an identical job in another energy centre on site!
