Grundfos PHT Installation – Wakefield Leisure Centre

We recently completed the replacement of an outdated analogue pressurisation unit at a leisure centre in Wakefield, upgrading the system to a modern Grundfos PHT digital pressurisation unit.

The new installation provides several key improvements over the previous setup. The upgraded unit is twin pump for enhanced resilience and performance, whereas the original system operated on a single pump arrangement. Importantly, the new system includes integrated low water protection — a safeguard the previous unit did not have.

Additional benefits include built-in fault indication with an alarm log and integral alarm interlocks, removing reliance on external pressure switches, which were previously untestable. This significantly improves system monitoring, reliability, and ongoing maintenance capability.
