Twin-pump Booster Set Installation at St Helens Hospital

We recently installed this twin pump set at St Helens Hospital. We have just started working with Vinci for Liam Campbell and Vercity for this new site – our thanks to all for the support to help get this job completed on time and to plan.

The existing set was obsolete and due for replacement due to age/condition. We offered the Xylem Hydrovar X on this project as it allowed us to drop from 4.0kW to a 3.0kW pump whilst providing slightly more duty, so this will provide valuable long term energy savings for the site.

We also installed a temporary pump through the course of the works so as to ensure no interruption to water whilst we completed the install. This is due to the criticality of the ward / patients. We utilised the standby tank and connected into the spare 4” discharge connection pictured.

All works completed over two days, this was a seamless installation. All works planned in to suit site requirements and in conjunction with the site team. Our install team was Antony Chesters, Kieran Shields and Carl Rogerson.
