This job involved PressBoost installing a ball valve housing to an existing tank on a site for Salix Homes in Salford. Salix wanted to implement an air gap to make the tank By-Law 30 compliant in line with the current water regulations. The current tank is a relatively new (2-3 years old), so there was no need to replace the whole tank. It was much more cost effective to simply install a ball valve housing. As you can see from the picture below, we sized the appropriate ball valve housing to suit the tank which was supplied by Decca Plastics and modified the existing pipework to suit. The tank is now fully compliant.
